Erin Ramsey Swim Instruction, formerly Wee Swim Swimming Lessons has been operating since 1989. Erin began teaching lessons at The Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, California to keep herself busy and out of trouble as a teen in the summers. Not only was it a great job, Erin loved working with the children and was quickly promoted and began training new teachers for the Club.
After two years, she branched out on her own as her client base grew and began visiting private homes around Newport Beach to give more individualized instruction. After college, Erin worked in the private sector for a few years before she realized that teaching children was what she needed to do. Her time spent working with children as a young adult is what brought her back to swimming after giving the corporate world a go. She quickly realized that she wanted a carreer working with children. Becoming an elementary school teacher would also allow her to spend her afternoons and summers teaching children to swim and become confident people. Erin taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades from 1999 to 2010 in California and England and New York. Swimming has always been a part of her life and now with two young children, teaching swimming seems even more important.
Erin began teaching swimming in Georgia in 2011 when a friend talked about how frustrated she was with her daughter's lack of progress in her current swimming lessons. She described her lessons, they formed a group and the rest is history. Erin's business is spread through word of mouth. The progress made in these lessons makes people talk!
