I cannot say enough good things about Erin Ramsey's swim instructions. Just nine days ago, Maxwell said that he would only go to swim lessons if he didn't have to put his head under water. I might have told him that would be ok. Today Maxwell finished lessons jumping into the pool, swimming to the edge, and even swimming freestyle. Erin did what many others (including myself) could not do - she taught Maxwell to swim. And, she gave him a confidence in and out of the water that has been fun to see.  If you are looking for swim lessons in Atlanta, look no further!

My 4 year old daughter was VERY fearful of the water, so I was a little nervous about how these swim lessons would go. However, my husband and I were completely blown away with how well our daughter responded to Erin. Not only did she begin to look forward to swimming lessons, but she was swimming across the pool by the end of her 9 day session. We could not have been more pleased with our experience, and we definitely will be signing our son up next year! I highly recommend Erin Ramsey Swim Instruction! Thanks, Erin!

Before Piper and Addison took lessons with Erin, they were hesitant about getting in pools. Now, they're both convinced they're the best swimmers on the planet. A little confidence and skill goes a long way ... Erin teaches both. In two weeks, my kids went from being afraid to swim to aggressive swimmers! Thanks, Erin!

My 5 year old has always been scared to put his head under water and has been anxious about water in general. By the end of our 9 days with Erin, both he, and his 3 year old brother are jumping in from the side of the pool, turning themselves around, and swimming back to the side!!! She was so wonderful with them - I'm amazed and actually looking forward to a summer at the pool!

Erin, you were awesome with my Tyler. He is now 17 and I think the way you taught him was very gentle and nurturing. He loves to swim and loves being in the ocean

We loved how Erin communicates with the children. As someone who works with children myself you don't realize how important it is to gain their trust and gain it quickly when you are limited with time. She helped all the kids feel at ease and really truly worked with their abilities and strengths. We had a great 9 days. Thanks Erin!!

We moved to GA from an area without many pools and needed our 5 yo to gain skills FAST. Only problem...she hated every moment of trying to learn from Mom and Dad.  Erin had been highly recommended to us, and we are thrilled with the results! She is firm and clearly sets expectations for the kids when in the pool from day one - and they listened to her immediately! She was able to get my kid to start practicing her swim skills during the very first lesson. She is also encouraging, motivating and truly helps them discover safety AND fun in the water. By the end, I had a true water baby on my hands after just nine lessons. My kid loved Ms. Erin and can't wait to come back next summer to learn more!

PS - Erin also does a great job of giving parents do's and don'ts to help with the learning process. So helpful, and really helped us reinforce what our kid was learning with Ms. Erin in the pool.

Tyler swam on Friday and he is swimming like a pro.  He goes just about every day.  The baby sitter said he is doing awesome and she is in the water arm distance away.  She is so amazed at his swimming.

Miles did great in the pool today. He was a little hesitant at first to put his head underwater, but I told him we can both dip our heads under and he seemed to feel better after that. I had a hard time getting him out at that point!

Alden was HEARTBROKEN today when he found out there was no swimming with Mrs Erin this week...
Thanks so much for all the 2 of you did!

The confidence you gave Stephen not only with swimming but outside of swimming was unreal, he's really changed since swimming started with you. I feel like he's more confident in himself and I'm so thankful for that! He is so happy when he's swimming and I can tell how proud he is of himself. All our friends are surprised at how well he swims in such a short time! He loves swimming so much! Thank you for all you did for us! You are an outstanding teacher!

~I wish I could find a way to get my kids back in a pool with Erin, because at the time my son was too young. And now watching him in swim lessons at the gym, I'm amazed at how inefficient and ineffective their way is. (The family was relocated to New York after the first summer of lessons).

Excerpt from the family blog:  This month, Evie took swim lessons. It was a gift from Omi and Opa since we have the pool in the backyard. Last fall, we met a woman who is a private swim instructor, so I reached out to her to see if she was still willing to come to our pool to do the lessons. She wasn't able to, because we needed to have a heated pool. But it worked out that a friend of ours has a heated pool, so we gathered up two groups of four kids and had the lessons there. For a month leading up to swim lessons, Evie was insistent that she was not going to take swim lessons. No amount of bribery worked. I even offered her a new Ariel swim suit, but nope. Finally, on the day of the first lesson, we just went. Evie was all about negotiating with me the whole way there. "I'm not going to put my head under water, ok?" I kept saying the same thing, "Miss Erin is in charge, you'll have to talk to her about that". So the first day did not go well. A lot of crying. A lot of pleading. I sat on the patio, watching, with a big smile on my face. No thumbs up, no clapping, just a few covert photos. When she would finish going under water, Miss Erin would have her give her a high five and say "I did it". Through her tears, she'd say it. It lacked conviction. I took her to Publix after lessons to buy cupcakes that were just for her to have after swim lessons. On day two, oh my god. I told myself I would not lie to her at any point during this. But on day two, I had to lie. I told her if she didn't go to swim lessons, she could not have cupcakes. So we'd have to return the cupcakes to Publix if she didn't want to swim. She was totally ok with that. So we got in the car and drove to swim lessons, under the guise that we were going to the store to return cupcakes. She was not happy about when we got to the lessons, but she got in the pool. She cried on the steps the whole time. It was so hard to not go to her and rescue her. But what would I be teaching her by letting her give up because she was scared, right? She was in no danger. She was learning something that could instead save her life. But she still let Miss Erin take her out into the pool. And she still did what she was told. I was probably most proud of her that day. She was terrified, but she did it. She'd high five Erin and say "I did it!", then retreat back to the stairs and cry. But then on Wednesday, she woke up and said, "I want to go to swim lessons today". And every day after that. When I finally saw her swim from the steps to Miss Erin, I couldn't believe it. The second week was smooth sailing. Evie had mastered Super Torpedo Pockets!   The last day. Evie actually jumped in and swam the length of the pool. Since we finished, she has swam every day. She continues to do so well. She is not so sure she wants to jump off the edge again, but she'll get there. I can't get over how comfortable she is with swimming now. She really loves it. I cannot wait for her to watch the summer olympics with us.

My son Jacob started lessons with Ms. Erin, right before his 3rd birthday.  Prior to lessons, he was hesitant entering the water and then only comfortable playing on the stairs at a pool.  After watching Erin, I am a firm believer in her intensive lessons.  It was amazing to watch the confidence my child gained throughout the two weeks of consecutive lessons.  Erin's approach remained very consistent.  By the end, Jacob was swimming underwater and for remarkable distances!  Now 10 months have passes, and Jacob is still swimming. He is continuing to use the techniques he learned last year.  He is a fish!  We will be ABSOLUTELY continuing lessons with Erin this summer and in the future.
